Model of Chinese painting mogu

Peony

I The sketch

Make a sketch by the second method described in the main page of painting Mogu.

We must first place the flower. The leaves and stems need to highlight its position. The paint will keep harmony between the dense and space, the focus and deployment. When you made the flower, we must pay attention to the size, density, direction, etc... of petals. The leaves and flowers should respect the natural shape of peonies. Because painting Mo Gu does not draw the contours, the sketch should be more accurate and realistic.

II Flower

Apply the color red on the tip of a first brush Bai Yun previously soaked in water. Prepare one seconds Bai Yun just brush dipped in water.

Start by coloring of the base of petals with a touch of the brush first and then immediately degrade the color to the outside with the second.

When all the petals have been made and the ink is dry, apply white on the tip of a brush Bai Yun previously soaked in water. Put the ink on the white petals from the outside to the inside to get the result below.

III The leaves and stems

So we start from the top face of the leaves. We proceed as for the petals but with green ink. Don't apply white ink, but you must leave a gap to represent the ribs.

To the underside of leaves, the protocol is the same but the color is a mixture of green and yellow ink.

For stems, applie once the mixture of green and yellow ink. Then, apply the brown ink on a brush beforehand soaked in water. Deposit the ink on the sides of the stem wich need it (generally junctions between rods) in the same manner as the white petals.

IV The lines

With the green ink which we have added a little black ink, draw the leaf veins.

With the ink of a deep red, draw the contours and folds of the flower petals.
